An alternate ending for The Shroud that’s somewhat light on plot, but heavy on the fruitcake.
My notes:
A lovely little moment set near the end of The Shroud where Vala welcomes Daniel back home and can’t hide how she’s worried for him. One of my favorite quotes: Vala could light up rooms with that smile. No, that cliché was inadequate — she could light up planets. Whole planets.
Vala has come to the realisation that Daniel will never have feelings for her. Moving on is easier said than done, especially if Daniel has anything to say on it.

I love how anti-climatic Vala’s ‘realization’ that Daniel will never want to be with her is. She doesn’t flee or do something dramatic, she just asks Cam to give her some space from Daniel at the SGC so she can try to get over him.
