Every old school P/Ter knows this one. Following Tom and B’Elanna throughout season 2 and 3, and filling in the gaps (or connecting the dots, as it were) between episode scenes, we’re shown their evolving friendship in much more depth than the show ever did. It’s head-canon for me now and I’m at peace with it.
