Honor Amongst Thieves
Vala Mal Doran steals a cargo ship, but wrecks it on a backwater little farm planet whose people don’t even speak a dialect she can understand. Fortunately, there is a stranger living among them who is able to translate. He arrived on that planet in a flash of light only months before, and has yet to remember who he is. When a conversation with the incorrigible thief leads him to remember his name, Daniel agrees to travel with her through the Stargate to find his past.
Finding Our Way Back
After thirteen years of their romantic relationship, Mulder becomes ensnared in the dark realm of his personal quest for truth and his obsessions, all the while descending into the grips of depression. Despite Scully’s earnest pleas for him to seek help, Mulder finds himself unable to extricate himself from this abyss. Consequently, Scully feels compelled to make the difficult decision to leave him.
One year later, Skinner contacts them with the hope that they will contribute their expertise in addressing a mounting array of paranormal cases. Despite being separated throughout this period, Mulder and Scully both agree to undertake the temporary assignment. During their collaboration, they endeavor to rediscover the paths leading back to each other.
This fic takes off during season 10, but it deviates away from the William arc. This story is about Mulder and Scully finding their way back to each other.
My notes:
This is just so much better than the revival. No CC mythology/William garbage, this is all about Mulder and Scully’s journey back to each other after Mulder got lost in his darkness.
Connect the Dots
A canon-consistent history from Threshold to Unity.
My notes:
Every old school P/Ter knows this one. Following Tom and B’Elanna throughout season 2 and 3, and filling in the gaps (or connecting the dots, as it were) between episode scenes, we’re shown their evolving friendship in much more depth than the show ever did. It’s head-canon for me now and I’m at peac... Read more
Guerdon
Wandering along the Federation-Cardassian border, an exiled pilot is drawn into a boon he doesn’t want, but accepts for want of options. Having thrown herself into what work she could get, a troubled young engineer finds herself in a new situation. Both make use of their lots and their lives as they skirt the DMZ and deal with the forces at work there.
Set 16 months before “Caretaker.”
My notes:
Really beautiful, long, slow burn AU. Tom ends up in the DMZ after the Caldik Prime fallout, and he wanders as a drunk for a while before being tricked into being the captain of a rundown tradeship called the Guerdon. This story follows them both before they meet, exploring Tom’s alcohol addiction and B’Elanna... Read more
